Prior Experience:
Upon his return from the USA in 1992, Steven founded and managed SMC capital, a niche investment boutique that pioneered the US style private equity model in South Africa.

Before this, he spent 3 years as an Investment Associate with Berkshire Partners in Boston and has also worked as a strategy consultant with Monitor in Europe and South Africa.
