Richard co-founded Horizon Equity in 1996. As an active member of the investment team, he has led a number of successful transactions for the firm and sits on the firm’s investment committee.
In addition, he oversees all operational aspects of the firm’s activities including finance, administration, marketing & compliance. He is currently serving a second term as board member of the Southern African Venture Capital Association.
Prior experience:
Before moving to South Africa in 1996, Richard spent 8 years at Euroventures in Switzerland where he led a number of successful venture capital investments in Europe and the USA.
Prior to entering the private equity industry, he spent 8 years in the electronics industry with Motorola Inc. in sales, business development and strategy management positions.
